Jammu and Kashmir: 11 dead after bus falls in gorge in Poonch district

A bus skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Plera in Mandi tehsil of Poonch.

Some of the injured may be airlifted to Jammu for treatment.

At least eleven people have been killed in a road accident in Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The accident took place after a bus fell into a deep gorge near Mandi Plera area in Jammu division's Poonch district. The bus was heading towards Poonch from Loran.

Rescue operations are on and the injured are being rushed to hospitals. 17 have been injured in the accident, five of whom are critical. Some of the injured may be airlifted to Jammu for treatment.
