Bulandshahr violence: Two arrested from Mainpuri district in inspector Subodh Singh murder case
The arrests were made based on phone call records of one of the arrested.

Uttar Pradesh Police has made two arrests from Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district of Agra division in the murder case of inspector Subodh Kumar Singh.
The arrests were made based on phone call records of one of the arrested. A senior police officer told India Today TV that it is not yet clear if the phone call was made before or after the murder.
Inspector Subodh Kumar and a local youth were killed in Uttar Pradesh's Mahaw village in Bulandshahr district on Monday (December 3) when a mob went on a rampage over allegations of illegal cow slaughter. A civilian was also killed in the violent clashes.
The arrested youth, who have been identified as Aslam and Raju, were caught by the police in the Mahmood Nagar area of Mainpuri.
Talking to India Today TV, Subodh Kumar's wife Rajni said that the chief minister Yogi Adityanath has assured the family of effective and immediate action in the murder case.
She said that her husband’s death should not be treated as an opportunity by the political parties.
Commenting on the quick action by the UP Police, BJP leader and party city president Vijay Shivhare said that the Yogi administration has vowed to make Uttar Pradesh the safest state in the country.
Shivhare said the chief minister takes every crime in the state very seriously and personally ensures that the crime rate in the state does not rise at any costs.
On Monday, Yogi Adityanath also announced a Rs 40 lakh compensation for Singh’s wife, Rs 10 lakh for his parents and a government job for a member of his family.
